Kerala's Christian story is traditionally linked with the mission of St Thomas the Apostle, remembered in local tradition as arriving on the Malabar coast in the first century. Over many centuries, communities shaped worship through Malayalam, Syriac, Latin and Kerala's own family and village customs.കേരളത്തിന്റെ ക്രൈസ്തവ പാരമ്പര്യം ഒന്നാം നൂറ്റാണ്ടിൽ വിശുദ്ധ തോമാശ്ലീഹാ മലബാർ തീരത്തെത്തിയെന്ന പാരമ്പര്യവുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ടു കിടക്കുന്നു. നൂറ്റാണ്ടുകളായി മലയാളം, സുറിയാനി, ലത്തീൻ ആരാധനാരീതികളും കേരളത്തിന്റെ കുടുംബ-ഗ്രാമ ആചാരങ്ങളും ചേർന്ന് ഈ വിശ്വാസജീവിതത്തെ രൂപപ്പെടുത്തി.
